Yes and jokes that punch down deserve to be interrogated.

This isn't a good article. The way it's written is ambiguous and would easily read to a "business owner" type as "well it's good for business" as opposed to "this only benefits the wealthiest businesses". I think the words "closely held" are doing all the work to carry that meaning and it gets lost.

Yeah bad news about the coconut milk, the forced birthers make the delivery daily after first stopping at the sperm bank.

> Nobody should have to go through this.
Like, he literally doesn't have to. He can resign at any time.

Might be cold but I feel worse for his constituents who have to watch their representative fall apart and live with the consequences of the decision he makes every day to not resign.

Oh cool, so we're just referring to human trafficking as deportation broadly, and saying how great it would be if we just kidnapped and exiled the "right people". I don't think this is a good direction for the discourse.

Part of the trouble is both the religious source material and their political figurehead are as ambiguous as a Rorschach inkblot. With so many contradicting claims, people are left to see whatever it is they want to see. Why bother rectifying when doing so comes at the cost of being shunned?

Abundance rhymes way too much with prosperity gospel, which has a ton of overlap with right-wing views. So yeah I choose fighting fascism.

I think the real problem is people not understanding the difference between singular and plural. *We*, rather than *I*. That's what many of us haven't quite dealt with.

Dude has brainworms. This should be an easy lay-up if you're (for whatever reason) trying to avoid profanity.

Who can say... be in one or more foreign countries for several months, get cited for improperly operating a motor vehicle, consume substances... you know, the type of things we overlook in our leaders entirely.

Maybe we should get rid of the fascists rather than the constitution, js

It didn't change your mind about him, but it did make you (and the rest of the series' viewers) notice him. On TV. And too many of us [apparently] take "they're on TV" to mean "they're successful and worth listening to".

The tattoos aren't the issue. The lying isn't the issue. This issue is extrajudicial sequestering citizens on foreign soil.

My dude, as one of your constituents I have to tell you, you're embarrassing yourself. There's absolutely no reason to hype up generative AI until the point in time that it actually solves a practical problem. Unless you already have real results in solving LA traffic, this is just bluster.

Unless it's revealed that he's dumping Bill Gates levels of cash into lobbying for UBI policies, this is all bluster and posturing. Startups don't have that type of cash, and there are too many established tech bros out there funding right-wing totalitarianism.

Jesus just showing up at Lazarus' house in blue, checks to make sure he's still dead, gets attacked by Legion-possessed wild boar. Pontius, having none of this, finds a doppelgänger and stages a crucifixion to cover up to save the state embarrassment for not being able to handle certifying a death.

Well, the Neuralink does exist, and we're fortunate the FDA has done its job so far, but we're also pretty clearly headed in the direction of deregulation since the company's founder is in the process of defunding as many public investments and regulatory bodies as possible. Human trials ongoing.

She has reportedly not yet decided, so perhaps another announcement after May 5 would be more effective than relying on second-hand information.
But what do I know? I'm not even in your district.

Turning people into products that can be monetized to generate ad revenue, and then not only charging them for the privilege but blackmailing them into paying more... sounds a lot like planned obsolescence as applied to subscription services.

It would serve all of our lawmakers and representatives right to be reminded that the power they wield can be turned on them at any time. Let them have a taste of the medicine they wish to feed all of us. You don't like due process? Fine, you first without it. Don't like free healthcare? You first.

Why would an account like mine (with its own domain name) care about being verified? To prove that I'm what... a guy who owns a particular domain name? The way checkmarks were rolled out at bird site left a foul taste in many mouths, now butterfly site wants it; in what way is this any different?

Kudos for actually saying "illegally" in reference to the extraordinary rendition occurring, but this "nearing a crisis" shtick needs to die already. Either draw a line in the sand and report on it when it is crossed, or just shut up and describe what unconstitutional shit he's been up to lately.

There exposing and then there's enabling, and it seems like he's doing a lot more of the latter than the former, since his sycophants ultimately expose themselves.
