It's anti-status-quo. Change to alleviate the pain people feel. The frustration at so little changing in their favor. Whomever can deliver change is a source of hope That's a big part of the appeal of DJT. Show that you can deliver and you will be followed.

There are many causes of the "problem". Not delivering is a big one. The swing voters ask "Why vote for a party that doesn't deliver?" If the middle-income citizens lose hope for their future because the party in power doesn't deliver help, they vote the other way. They were in pain. They voted.

Voters Don't Understand What You Just Wrote. That's the point. Most of that is abstract. Even saving jobs. When they lose their job and get one back, that's different.

I wonder how many politicians, anywhere, had a project management job. PMs deliver. Be a PM if you want to deliver. Make that a requirement for public office.

No, they must focus on delivering tangible results. Not policies. Not statements. Not even legislation. Actual, tangible delivery of things that directly impact the people. No abstractions (nobody understands those). No promises (nobody trusts politicians). Demonstrate delivery. Then point at it.

If the object in your mind is "woman" and "man" instead of "human" with an attribute of "woman" or "man", you will easily come to this conclusion. We are all "human" first. Whatever we add to that is added and debatable.

An HDMI dongle is attached to a TV and it picks up that image and displays it. It gets refreshed every 10 minutes so the dinner party is continually entertained by the new imagery of their conversations. #ai #AIArt #StealMyIdeaAndGetRich

While we have centuries of legacy supporting this model, unfettered capitalism is demonstrating many downsides for communities. I'm a strong supporter of capitalism itself. But, a balanced approach needs to be developed such that communities are protected.

Fewer people means less community and less support of retail and local services. We should also consider the moral aspects of allowing "shelter" to be governed by a capitalistic model.

If we do not face the darkness and understand it, we will soon become the darkness.

I'm realizing now that many voters were already experiencing sufficient pain to either vote for the other side or to vote in the first place. Maybe the Dems need to focus, primarily, on pain and only pain?

IMHO the only way the average voter is going to pay more attention to the issues and their consequences or "switch teams" is to feel PAIN. It seems that a well functioning democracy requires pain. If people could think more abstractly they would understand the issues and make informed decisions

That's the dehumanization too many are allowing. We should always be pushing back on that. It would be more impactful if that community were to demand to be called "people who are transgender" and take offense to anyone dropping the "people" part.

It's a primal issue. They are too often called "trans" and not often enough called "people who are transgender". So, the people/human part is removed and only the attribute is used at the "object", which is easier to not think of as human. Once they are not human, then are considered "other".

I predict that dog owners will find the conversations with their dogs are going to get pretty dull pretty quickly. Or, even, very annoying.

Members that support that type of leadership contribute to the damaging of their own community. When a member damages the community that they are a part of, they damage themselves as well.

A leadership that begins to extract current, contributing members from that community becomes a source of instability to that community.
comment in response to post
When a community is formalized, like with government, the stability of the community is dependent upon the leadership's recognition of its role to support the entire community so that it remains stable and progressing/improving.

Government is the formality of a community. A large one. The bigger the government, the larger the community it supports.
