All I can say is, I have a very clean house. ๐ I go go go until my carpel tunnel and other injuries slow me down. Then I exercise. Lol.

I gave up drawing years ago and never returned; like you, I do projects around the house (heehee I'm tearing down my old hot water tank so I can get it out of the basement) but I'll be very happy to get outside and landscape.

Me too. There has never been such a critical time in my 60+ years.

Also done here! My brain hurts (lol) from the online security hoops, but if it keeps the dirty hands of Musk out of our election process, then it was worth it.

Has Trump declared we cheated, yet? In a bigly way?

Well....I hate almost all ash species, but when I left Winnipeg for SW Manitoba, EABies had a firm hold on St. Boniface, there. I refused to have any ash planted in my projects, when I worked at Urban Forestry. Why they were even ordered when we knew...I can speculate.

Haha too much sitting and thinking. The former is impossible on my spine, the latter is semi-impossible on my brain, these days. I enjoy reddit on the tree topics, as well.

I don't know. Long story short,I was adopted. I met my birth family 50 years later, but everyone is too far to away to visit. In her case, that's fine by me.

I wish she would! Luckily I am 2 provinces away and don't know her, really.

The trick, for city cobra chickens at least, is a cellophane bag. They love junk food. Lol.

My sister-in-law is a traitor. Her FB page is full of PP rhetoric and disinformation. She loves Trump and wants Canada to be the 51st state; if I had a cannon I would shoot her redneck Albertan ass over the border. She could spend her extensive vacation money on medical expenses, instead.

Just to be clear...the Canada Goose is a species of bird found in many parts of the world. Canadian geese are any species of geese that are living in Canada, native or otherwise.

This may be my favourite one, and you just killed me with, "35 years ago." Ouch. Canada will never be "Lower America."

I'm beginning to think we should close the border to all things organic that are American. That includes Americans.

We have to trust the process. And though I trust the Canadian Food Inspection Agency for cattle feed regulations, the transport of live horses to Japan is one process they have failed at miserably.

You nailed it. There's a multitude of ways to express the emotions he apparently felt, none of which come close to nazi/ Roman salute. I think he felt like a nazi...

I really miss Rick Mercer, his sarcasm was next to none.

In a "what if" nightmare, I can honestly see myself with a weapon, defending my country. It's a terrifying feeling.

And Trudeau was diplomatic enough to understand Trump and let him have the win. It gives us 30 days before the next potential attack. I can only hope Trump will be very busy with the fallout of his nazi DOGE.

From my experience, now that I am living in a small, farming prairie town...an unhealthy mix of hating Trudeau, wanting change, ignorance, and a dash of selfishness in wanting to pay less tax. And nearsightedness.

Mother Nature is doing a purge. The planet is overpopulated. She'll be coming for us in a big way, before long.

I found some info through USDA and CIDRAP...might be a good place to start. They get numbers in from the State level, it appears...

Hmmm, time to do some research. Especially since this has the potential to make covid look like a summer picnic, if it mutates....and viruses certainly do that. I know one person has died in the US.

I don't know, but isn't simply part of his whole CDC communication shut down? If there are no reports, then there is no avian flu threat?

I could be wrong but I believe it is reactive, not proactive. Way too many birds to be tested, so they wait until clinical signs of illness. If tests come back positive, the flock is euthanised.

I am hoping so. A lot of Canadians hate Trudeau and the Liberals in general, so Carney has his work cut out. But Poilievre supported Trump and has been endorsed by Musk...and those two are becoming more of a dumpster fire by the day.

I envy your lack of a shared border, right now. โค๏ธ

Trump has certainly--and ironically--helped get me there, but every time I hear Carney speak...I feel more proud to be Canadian than I ever have before.
comment in response to

Since when is any true leader an "ordinary" person? He or she generally has the intelligence, drive and commitment to get to that point. Few of us do. Also, my takeaway..the Cons are more concerned about doing a 180 to attack Carney, who is not Trudeau, than they are with policies.

It matters not. MAGA isn't worth it. There's nothing anyone can say to change their little minds. Let them have the win. Their egg prices are still going up.

I remember doing a sewage sampling inspection as part of my job for the City, at a certain brewery. They were making a pumpkin-influenced beer and here were all these guys, opening huge cans of pumpkin puree with manual can openers, swearing softly amongst themselves. The beer was wildly popular!
