What’s unfolding in Riyadh between the USG and Russia is heartbreaking for Ukraine and those who have supported Kyiv since 2022. It’s a text book example of how not to handle Putin, or any autocrat. Give them respectability and weakly cede key points from the outset. It will come back to haunt us.

So Trump delays tariffs on Canada and Mexico at the last minute, after the stock market and Canadian dollar tanked. Now if they rebound, anyone who had “bought the dip,” perhaps (let’s just imagine), because they knew this was going to happen, would end up with a lot more money. Interesting.

If we cannot pay our £3.5k electricity bill, within the next few days, a man with a big pair of pliers will turn up to cut the power off. Our electricity bill has increased from £3k/year to about £13k and has put enormous strain on our finances. Please help to keep the power on and keep going.
