Do contact Silvia. We were thinking of a podcast with her. She would be pleased to hear from you.

Yes. Orvieto is really pleasant. I remember driving up there for the winter edition of Umbria jazz. We all fell asleep in the small, dark venue. It was just so cozy! And warm!

Where's that heart of Italy exactly? Physically or emotionally?

Ivrea of course. But do look out for this costume event in May in Venice. Tickets are still available.

No. Always handwritten on paper with an accompanying book/paper dictionary. I still do the same for Arabic (and no alliteration)

To be fair, the descriptions are pretty inane. Like those short stock verses in birthday cards.

Is that Stratford? If so, remember filming there in the costume department. A long time ago know!

It may be a hidden gem to you, but millions of people have already visited it. Best things to do? Ask a local.

Was fortunate to visit the ex Yugoslavia 3 times. The last, if you like, the year Slovenia and Italy got it together in Europe. An educational week for journalists in Gorizia. Lots of polenta, a trip on the lagoon, fine white wine and a lot of historical war locations.

The Vomero district is quite posh and well connected (in every sense!). Nice and high up for a view. Then you can descend to the seafront near the castle (Nuovo), main piazza and some nice shops in a covered gallery (like Milan).

There was a boom of independent artisan beer makers in Italy from 2000 onwards. It was an exciting moment, small breweries everywhere. Now it doesn't feel like that but looks carefully and there are some real hidden gems out there still.

A childish comment and incorrect.
