My vote is for 3–shows what most people will encounter in existing code while also educating people on the new syntax.

My last joker was Glass Joker. I played on the Anaglyph deck for the past couple weeks and used the skip tags on eternal tags to help knock out the final 20 jokers.

It’s what I’m calling the updated iPadOS. It looks just like what I expect macOS to look and function if it had touch capability. It’ll be interesting to see how much of the reimagine windowing and toolbar stuff comes to macOS over time.

macOS Touch looks really interesting!

Market manipulation from the most powerful seat in the world. Everything is just fine.

It’s a bummer that social media platforms have pushed humans to value the latter over the former.

Easily the best episode of the series. Didn’t think of Eternal Sunshine while watching it, but you are totally right! Beautifully shot and a wonderful way to get to know Gemma.

What an awesome idea!

Neither team gets better from this trade, right? Lakers now have no defense and will need to score 130/game. Mavs have limited offense and need to keep teams below 90/game.

I think you’re probably right, unfortunately. Ugh.

I had a reminder set to check this yesterday as well. I love the use of “planned maintenance” for this extension of their prior maintenance window!

My wife and I rewatched it recently. The last two episodes are so good. Really looking forward to S2E1!

With a very large gap between three and four. Al has lost a step in recent years. Pretty sure there’s a reason why Kirk still does college games too.

Congratulation Adam on a great 2024, and wish you an even bigger and better 2025!

Such a great show. Nearly every episode has one bit that really gets my funny bone and keeps me laughing for the week.

Not sure if this is what you are thinking of, but what about include/extend modules, and instance/class eval?

Yeah, that's exactly what I was referring to by syntactic sugar. Ruby using methods to implement primitives and operators is such an elegant design decision that allows the language to enable really beautiful and expressive code. I'm looking forward to the rest of the thread!

Syntactic sugar via method naming is one of the language features that blew my mind when I first learned about it and took my love for the language to a new level.

Love this! Here are the things that came to mind for me: mutate instance and class variables, send other messages, and yield to the caller.

It’s such a great game! I’d recommend the Gold Stake Lessons from Balatro University if you’re interested in learning advanced strategies. His approach to the game will really help you level up: youtube.com/playlist?lis...
