Also sorry if I find that one promo pic of Nolan's Odyssey underwhelming when we've had Greek myth designed like this

The Brutalist (2024). Adored Corbet since Vox Lux (2018) and this was very anticipated personally. There are endless shots, scenes and even asides that would be the iconic moment of another film. 📽️

There are tens of thousands of such man made tragedies, any one of which suffices to condemn its authors until the end of time.

10+ years ago, out of sheer luck, I spent time in the orbit of Viktor Antonov. Since learning of his passing last week, memories came flooding back. With the news now public, I’d like to share a few anecdotes to help remember the person - as much as the achievements already poised to outlive him.

Riven (2024). The 1997 original left an indelible impression on a child who was too young to understand much of it. I adore this remake, the breathtaking additions and changes that I won't spoil and the many things timeless — like John Keston's performance as an ersatz God in a crumbling reality.

From the demo of Promise Mascot Agency (2025). Play as an ex-Yakuza lieutenant who must partner with a giant pinky toe mascot to navigate crime, corruption and the travails of small business administration — hire mascots, negotiate their contracts, save them from normal sized doors. Total kino.

Waiting a month to see a specialist. 😔

I am going to periodically bang this drum: The US must join the ICC, repeal the ICC laws, and turn over those Trump officials and unofficials who have verifiably committed crimes of an international scale (and there will be members of that group for sure) to the Court for trial.

One of the greatest visual designers of our age has passed. I still pore over his concepts and compositions and feel an awe before a timeless brilliance — progressive and speculative and yet inhering total physical credibility. There's been too much saddening news of late.

Korea does capitalist oligarchy even harder than the US. like I don't think there's a quality about Korea that makes it a nobler country, I think there's something fundamentally and bizarrely wrong with America right now

Returnal (2021) is one of the best games of the generation — a unique experience that is at turns a thrilling arcade bullet hell and an meditative study of remorse. The successor looks immensely promising.

Sabin Balasa - The City (1967)

Great advice from the simple sabotage field manual

Inspector Ravini (Maurizio Lombardi) appreciation

Since it's come up again, one of the biggest influences on my current project.

I'm an admirer of Kropotkin yet there's no world in which the "mutual aid" of the Green Party — leafleting at others' protests — rises to even a billionth of the effect of USAID in preventable disease control and humanitarian relief. None of this had to be something we needed to counteract.

Anaïs Vos WIP. Might experiment with some piercings — she doesn't have tattoos anymore as a side effect of autonomous surgery. #GameDev
