Road pricing has some of this too. Some bridges have gotten tolled to fund an expansion, only for the traffic drop from tolls make the expansion completely unnecessary lol

Did you account for the provincial 0.3%? But yes, just cutting the rate would most "net" help big apartment owners (who dont have the CAP)

You could cut the resi rate by 27% if there was no cap. So for the HRM portion of the rate, that'd be going from 0.77% to 0.56%

Switching to rail is a slow process, especially from the end of the line. Rough guide is it loses a day. Can be in Moncton within a few hours instead..
