The only thing I'll note is I would hope Macfarlane is not addressing First Nations peoples with this book, but rather those of us who've been raised in a different tradition and need someone to open the door for us to properly see the view. But we shall see.

Novels and short stories, both are garnering the same inattention and ghosting. I suspect I will return to work on the non-fiction book, now that my health has (mostly) recovered. Not sure if I have it in me to bother with SF/F again, even with all the stories inside me.

...and people who for even more unfathomable reasons choose to ignore follow-up emails. It also includes one anthology where other authors (rightly) celebrated their acceptances. To say I am fed up with this fucked-up business and how it's treated me these past few years would undersell it.

I’d clarify that you donate those books if you have already made plans with the library and are aware it may not keep everything. Don’t just dump a big ol’ surprise on the librarians.
