@altnps.bsky.social Heard at a public meeting that 'only' 12 employees at Glen Canyon NRA (GLCA) were fired this week, including the park engineer. They were from HQ. That does NOT include all of the temp/seasonal employees usually hired for the visitor season that likely won't be hired.

My dad was a consultant at USAID in the late 1960s. I spent part of my life overseas and have fond memories. To see that this program is being destroyed is truly sad and hits my heart. My dad helped the local people, teaching them how to grow crops more successfully in a desert climate.
