We got 8 cllrs across 5 wards (up from 3 in one ward) on North Northants Unitary too.

We got 8 councillors on North Northamptonshire Council in Kettering wards (+5).
Not bad considering 2021 was our breakthrough year.

We have the painted ‘cycle lane’ issue here in my small UK town too!
Thus riders use them on the pavement. Gah!
Proper segregated cycle infrastructure is so important to separate cars from cycles/scooters and from pedestrians.
Just missing the funding and the will from the gov and council.

The stats on emissions saved alone are very impressive.
Although I do think the Chron has a bit of a vendetta against them.
So I’ll caveat that in North Northants they are brilliant 😉
But could be so much better with LTN1/20 dedicated mobility lanes.

Because of incidents like this one - where my friends mum was injured by someone riding on the pavement.
Even after she wants infrastructure so people feel safe to ride on the roads.
Not what Good Morning Britain were expecting her to say!
