I’m sure Parcelforce, pre-privatisation, used to be fairly reliable. Now a veneer of reliability masks its incapability. SMS: parcel coming 11-12. I won’t be in but can redirect to P Off. Great. I select that and get confirmation. Reliably, the driver will turn up at my house with the parcel.

One of the biggest surprises if you haven't been there for a while is quite how cycle-friendly the City of London (the financial district) is now, thanks to ample bike lanes and loads of road closures (see post Steve is QTing). It's extraordinary - I used to cycle happily there every day on Lime.
