Finished "Andor" S2 yesterday, started re-watching "Rogue One" tonight. I know all about the messy history of "Rogue One" (thanks to @tansyg.bsky.social's superb "Going Rogue" podcast) but it's still a surreal transition. Not just the writing but the film language itself — camerawork, editing, etc.

Vancouver council is debating a giant permanent sign that says "VANCOUVER", and staff say an issue is putting the sign in a place that won't interfere with film shoots. In other words, a giant "VANCOUVER" sign could interfere with vancouver's lucrative business of pretending to be any other city
