the irony is that they could have covered trump in a way that would have made his win far less likely. by simply being honest.
but they didn’t because they think he’s going to make them even more wealthy if they play nice. big risk with a violent authoritarian oligarch but maybe!

a lot of ostensibly independent cultural decision makers - way more than zero anyway - were planning to comply in advance. before trump even got back into office.

The only ones making my life unsafe right now are those who claim to be arresting people on my behalf.
The only thing imperiling me right now is the the threat that what I say in the classroom could wrest from me my livelihood.
