That's awesome! Where are you going to see them?

More dice. If I don't have to use 2 hands to roll a bunch of d6s, then what's the point? It's one of the things I enjoyed about WH40K back when I used to play it.

Toe beans, toe beans, toe beans, toe beans!
I'll eat them up, just because I can.

My son has been playing it. I may have to kick him off the PC. Is it legitimately good? It looks kinda fun.

The Matrix. The only human is Neo.

Also, in an OSR type game, if you miss a session and your character maybe isn't present to risk their life in dangerous situations, sorry but your character is not getting XP. XP is the reward for surviving dangerous shit, such as claiming treasure hordes and bringing it back to town.

This is decent advice, but also dependant on the game you're playing. Previous editions of DnD required different exp by class, which was part of the balance. Thief levelled quickly, but doesn't have access to reality shaping spells.

Brother printers opened some ancient magic. You plug it in once and it works forever. No fixing required... It's impossible anyway.

Yeah, alignment isn't really hard baked into the rules anymore like it was in previous editions. It's more optional. Thankfully there's no more alignment based languages. Back in the day there were Lawful and Chaotic languages 🤦 (and good and evil weren't alignments, that came later).

People often conflate an evil alignment (typical orc or a goblin) with an evil outsider (devils, demons). A Paladin's detect evil should not ping off an orc, they aren't necessarily evil incarnate like an outsider is. Remember that detect evil is a 1st level spell, detect alignment is like 6th.

This immediately caught my interest. I'm considering backing the pdf version. I'd love to back the physical version, but shipping into Canada is probably going to be a lot 😢

Ah yeah that's fair. Learning a system while playing can definitely make things feel somewhat more disconnected.

I picked up Old Gods ttrpg, but haven't had an opportunity to run it yet. How do you like it?

Hard to say, so I'll add a bunch that I'm interested in right now. Mouseritter, Electrum Archive, Songs for the Dusk,Star Trek Advanced 2nd edition, Lasers and Feelings.

I can't say if it's overrated or not, as I think it's relatively unknown, but I've been having a blast playing Electrum Archive.
