The article says that the teenage girl who took the pills had a reaction that landed her in the hospital. I assume as part of that they were given the pills the girl took and saw the prescription information on the bottle. The girl's mother was also indicted.

When I worked in Big Tech there was a designer who specialized in "Micro Calls To Action". Their job was to determine if the button should, for example, say OK, Okay, or Continue. They swore to me it was data driven and backed by A/B testing.

The press really didn't cover Enron that well at the time either, until the subpoenas started flying.

My favorite feeling is being cold on the subway platform - much better than being sweaty and humid in the summer

Having spent enough time in Grand Central, I can say this is 100% possible at the right time of day

My wife and brother both hated the subway. The entire time they lived in Manhattan they walked like 30 blocks to work. I never really understood why. It was faster than the subway though.

Rita's is a national franchise - every location is locally owned and operated. We have them in NY too.

More like, five minutes after the meeting was scheduled to start, I log in to the computer and fire up the browser and open the privacy filter on the camera and put my headset on and... only 5 minutes 45 seconds late!

Also MTA employees sentenced for impossible overtime scheme:

So once again - why are we giving these people even more money when they can't manage what they have?

I'm not talking out of my ass. This is the Internet, so I'm doomed to lose but
NYU found MTA spent over twice as much on consultants as building for the 2nd Avenue subway

Over 1,100 employees collected over $300,000 in overtime in 2023

The MTA is the most corrupt organization in NY. Overspending on overtime and consultants. The subway is dramatically underfunded, but they need to get their own house in order before being given more money.

They need new seasons of the existing shows, not new shows altogether. Exhausting.
