Oh man, I wish I could watch season 3 again for the first time. Enjoy!

Yeah, I finally pushed myself to watch it the other day because of the nominations, and Jeremy Strong's performance is absolutely the stand-out in an otherwise meh movie.

Amanda absolutely brought it on this episode. Enjoyed this discussion much more than the first episode, although they're discussing very different topics about the film. Awesome stuff.

I absolutely love this list. I agree with every single placement.

I don't believe many blockbuster films deserve to be held in this regard, but Denis is a special case. He's currently working at the top of his game but is being left out of #Oscars discussion because of his choice to make a big studio movie with all the resources available to him.

I know this isn't a shocker that he wasn't nominated, as it's been predicted for months, but the narrative of directors needs to change if we're ignoring the hard work that goes into making these highly well crafted blockbusters.

I'm seriously SO bummed that I have to watch 'The Apprentice' now. But feeling sort of vindicated that I held off on 'The Last Showgirl', 'Queer' and 'Babygirl' as I'm not sure any of them are my speed either.

Stay safe out there! I don't know how I'd react with all my collections that I have and love. Your safety is most important though!

The SAG awards last year were handled well on Netflix. At least that's a popular streaming service that was able to promote where the show was playing in the days and weeks leading up to it.

I know so many people who don't closely follow this stuff that would absolutely tune into awards shows if they were scrolling through a guide and saw it was on. But nobody goes into the backend of Amazon Prime and starts scrolling through network channels that they probably don't have access to.

I got five as well. As much as I'd love to be right, it's much more fun when the season feels as wide open as it does right now.

Yes, I know 'Dune: Part 2' was never really competing for anything at this point, but it's delusional to think that that film wasn't hugely regarded as a masterpiece of filmmaking this year.

It's great to see a wide variety of films represented this year, despite there being a ton of shocking wins. It was honestly a great show.

Amanda has literally never been so back! Awards season has me HYPED.

I've heard from lesser than credible sources that there's a chance the PTA film will be delayed a year. Have you heard anything about that? Would be a huge bummer for the years slate.

The article will tell you that it's the Kendrick Lamar film

If it came out in 2024, it's safe to assume it's a 3.5 star movie

This is tough. We went about a year ago, and we chose to just block it out and not let it ruin our experience. Maybe not the right take, but as much as I hate to support her, we still love the world she created. We always watch the movies on our Blu-rays though, and won't support her beyond that.

How long until you sit Alice in front of Creature from the Black Lagoon?

That Josh Hartnett line in your intro is spot on. Incredible work.

You're probably absolutely right. I've only heard negative feedback from people in the trans community. I can also see it dominating these "Comedy/Musical" categories at the Golden Globes and then simmering out with the Academy voters.

The Best Actor in a Comedy category is interesting this year, with all Oscar predictions in Drama. Stoked that The Substance got so much love. Saoirse and Denis snubs are wild. Sing Sing having hardly any representation is at least a bit shocking, but is probably still in the 6-10 spot at the Oscars
