If you’re trying to use the preorder code at Waterstones today, you’ll find that a lot of new authors aren’t included! I would suggest you hop over to Hive books instead. Always cheaper and delivery is free on books over £15. I don’t buy my books from anywhere else. www.hive.co.uk/Product/Rach...

I wish more people understood this because it’s really fucking offensive to see people being gender-policed.

It's weird how everyone in the world knows a Nazi salute when we see it, with the notable exception of journalists and their editors.

You kan not run educacioun lyke a businesse. A businesse ys meant to make a profit. Educacioun ys meant to make the future. A businesse ys meant to serve customers. Educacioun ys meant to empower citizens.

Hey, Bluesky, help a person out if you can: what's your fave SCIENCE FICTION BOOK with asexual and aromantic traces published PRIOR to 2000? Note: I'm not looking for definite rep. I'm just looking for what resonated with people because my knowledge of pre-2000s scifi is... not great.

Much Ado About Nothing at Drury Lane with Tom Hiddleston and Hayley Atwell is absolutely brilliant. Fun and clever staging and use of cast make it that rare thing: a genuinely funny Shakespeare comedy. And the electricity between Benedick and Beatrice is enough to light up Europe. Go see it.

Got me some Monty Bojangles vegan truffles, a bottle of Laphoaig single malt, tickets to see Chris McCausland and a whole other year under my belt. Hello 49; I’ve been expecting you.

When you can, avoid number-only date formats. Sighted users could be confused on whether the first number is the month or day. If you've incorrectly designated your document's language, screen reader users might hear the wrong date. Writing out the month prevents this confusion.

You can make a big difference in the life of an indy creator by buying their work, telling people about it, reviewing it, recommending it. Faceless soul-sucking corporations take your money and give you back as little as possible, but indy artists and small businesses make the world better.
