But if we’re talking about things that gave us nightmares, the Doctor Who special The Waters of Mars. That’s not rated 18 or 15. That’s a 12. I was 12 at the time. I was old enough for it.

18s seem to be pretty arbitrary, there’s not a lot of difference. If you can sit through a bloody 15 you can easily get through most 18s. Sometimes the BBFC have it in for nudity but sometimes they don’t.
