The buffoonery is strong with crew. Inviting the person by mistake and then claiming he hacked the system? Yup, sounds about right👍

Caryv Elwes is such an underrated actor. Princess Bride is still one of my favourites.

I agree. Sitting this one out and hoping for the current admin to burn itself out is not a winning strategy imho.

As a Canadian I’m less than thrilled with the orange oaf’s annexation threats. So to Mr. Trump kindly go pound sand.

I have nothing but disdain for Trump that’s for sure. One saying that has always stuck with me is this:”Those who forget history is doomed to repeat it”. Anyway enough doom and gloom. Snow is melting so I think it’s time to go outside. Thanks for the conversation Phil!

Transport became very difficult if not impossible. I must commend you for tying in the Canadian connection and Vimy. Well done

The destructive power of new technology such as the machine gun. The innovation of the rolling barrage was a key part of the victory at Vimy. The only true downside is due to the damage in no mans land from the shelling the infantry Goulding logistically push their advantage as supply

A totally defeated German nation . The harsh peace settlement lead to the rise of extremism in Germany . Hitler comes in offering easy solutions to his country’s problems. My main source is this: ushmm.org/learn/holocaust/aftermath-of-world-war-1

The territorial gains made by either side up to the very end were minimal due to the nature of trench warfare. It was an armistice that was sign not a surrender. Whole Europe was liberated from the horror that was the First World War. It wasn’t like the end of world war 2 (2/3)

This is my opinion of course. The end of world war 1 and the treaty of Versailles crippled Germany leading to conditions that allowed Hitler to ascend. The war itself being mired in trench warfare had a huge human cost as it became a war or attrition. (1/2)

I hope the cooler heads prevail because this sabre rattling feels awfully like pre world war 1 and I believe that if this becomes a conflict it’s going to more stupid than how that war turned out. 3/3

As mentioned before invading a region is easy. Keeping it becomes messy. I feel for my U.S neighbours because the guy starting all this shit will never be the one dying over it. 2/3

The three pronged effect of becoming a world pariah, unrest from your own country and the insurgency effect from trying to occupy Canada would be devastating to the U.S. 1/2
