You are making a great argument for clearly defined, defended borders and an enforcable imigration policy. If the indigenous people of many nations had these, they might still hold many of the lands that have been lost to them.

I think every sovereign nation should be able to decide who comes and goes across their borders. If you are for open borders we will just have to agree to disagree. I'd love to see reforms to allow more legal immigration though, just not at the expense of our nation's security.

I don't care if those here stay here. I do want a secure border though; a line in the sand where illegal imigration is not tolerated. We also need a robust guest worker program. We do need these people. I'm a conservative and don't want them to have to hide in the shadows with depressed wages.
