Here is a brief thread of best pactices used by myself (ex airlines, based overseas):
1. Be prepared for device search, seizure, or theft.
2. Use burners / disposable devices if you can.
3. Save files you want to keep on a self-hosted cloud storage / NAS device. Nextcloud is great.
