I knew some pretty rich people that didn't have camcorders back then, heck sometimes people didn't even have vcrs so something like that was still a high end luxury

so thankful I got back into collecting and was able to grab two, the tech is so cool, I wish more NES games had been released for it. It took years for the SMB3 GBA levels to be accessible outside of it. I think I got all those cards too, there are some demo and pokemon ones I'm missing

Pretty sure Home scrambles/randomizes the IVs when you put a mon in, definitely try it with a non-perfect before you do it with a 100%

Yeah this is what worries me too, a lot of the channels I really enjoy have been scaling back their content. Makes sense to support the ones you really like, cause they usually aren't getting enough views to really sustain long term. Frustrating seeing low/no effort vids dominate

+1 for Brother, it's funny the same printer I bought from Amazon over a decade ago now goes for more than we paid back then, sad, but I highly recommend it

So glad I got a mostly complete collection of cards, the price on that has gotten ridiculous like a lot of stuff, the marriage of old school tech and new tech was too cool to ignore though I really love the idea that code can still be printed on a card and read and executed with a bar code scanner

Such an underrated point, when you're blazing trails you gotta troubleshoot and fix most of this stuff on your own, or find a workaround. Lots of respect!

I actually put a lot of fan made games on my steamdeck. It was surprising the quality but also the variety of games out there. Often if you're missing a fav genre that isn't supported any longer, there's a fan game that can scratch the itch

Absolutely correct, we had to rent most of the anime we were able to watch. It was too expensive to blind buy, and with limited internet it was tough to get recommendations. Used to fantasize about winning the lottery and cleaning out the local Media Play
