a) Luxon is a buffoon. b) I work in a risk environment where we require visitors to wear specifically-coloured PPE so that workers can easily identify them, as they will be less aware of risks and controls. It's a very good system. c) That said, Luxon is still a buffoon.

“Yeah, it was definitely up to spec when I finished the work, inspected it, and signed it off myself. The issue must have arisen some time after that. Nothing to do with me.”

I have never been more consciously interested as to where the goods I routinely purchase come from as I have been this week.

" ... usually you don't get too many new ideas in the second thousand - and by the time you get to the third thousand a lot of it tends to be reinforcing points people have already made." What the fuck would he know? When was the last time there were multiple thousands of submissions?

Seeing this image immediately conjured that "old comic sealed in plastic" smell. Nice.

Bug spray and lighter flame thrower. Just to be safe.

Eliminate? No. Rather, we should use save ends for some things, 1 minute for others, until long rest for others, etc. Non-standard durations add tension.

Me: "Aw, come on man! You need to be able to see the red mist in the gym, and unleash the beast!" My Shoulder, after 2 years of ongoing rotator cuff/tendinopathy issues: "Yes. Thank you Jesse."

Winston Peters would step down from NZ First, rejoin National, then put his hand up.

He'd try to slink back into big business, and would change his standard opening to "Are you aware I used to run a country?"

Urgh. I just clicked on a link that took me to the ACT website. I feel kinda unclean now. And does this mean David Seymour is going to start sending me messages on SnapChat ..?

Would have loved to have seen a truck load of those delivered to the Treaty Grounds at Waitangi, so we could all watch our honourable and respected government ministers enjoy them.

Huh indeed. Does the vulture have any unique or even supernatural abilities that make it more than just a giant version?

(ps. Yay for playing boardgames with your kids! So enjoyable sharing the hobby with them. :) )

I guess time will tell with that. We tried to promote sharing and changing characters, but once our daughter found a favourite, cool character she didn’t want to play any other.
comment in response to post
We bought this for our 8 year old daughter last year and got a lot of play out of it, she really liked how the game evolved. But, she lost interest when most characters got upgrades as we received awards, but her fave didn’t. There is some asymmetry in which characters get cool new abilities.

Hopefully a group of "meddling kids" with a large dog and a cool van step up to deal with it all soon.

This shite should be delivered to the Beehive on a daily basis, and those who campaigned for it forced to eat it every day.
