In theory, it's safe. In practice, not great. With cryptography, having control of your keys is having control of everything. With most exchanges and online crypto wallets, they hold your keys. So if they get hacked, the hackers now have your keys.
If you hold the keys, better but still bad.

In my opinion, if we keep funneling all of our country's wealth toward the top, we're just going to get more of the same
We need to come together and realize that both left and right agree on a great deal, like the fact that healthcare and housing have become unaffordable and dominated by investors

New York Attorney General Letitia James posted on X, stating, “This morning, we won a court order blocking Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, from accessing Americans’ private data. Musk and his DOGE employees must destroy all records they’ve obtained.”

I tried to make a feed for a similar purpose. It's keyword based. It combs through all Bluesky posts in the last few days and tries to find animal related posts, as well as nature and photography stuff. Casting a wide net occasionally grabs unwanted posts, but it's mostly free of politics and junk.

"Don’t complain about Musk then. Ever. You’re enabling him"
... What?...
You don't like Musk and Trump. I also have issues with them, but have a disagreement regarding approach, and you provide this?
How is this productive? What are you attempting to accomplish by conducting yourself like this?

I get that you're angry. We all are. Please realize that Xitter still has a larger footprint than BSky. By posting there and linking all here, it could lead to increased adoption.
I also get the frustration with these ppl sticking heads in sand & ignoring reality, but I'd rather not give up yet.

There's still a large number of people over there, and giving it up entirely means that your message will reach that many fewer people. I don't like Xitter either, but there is at least some value to news organizations and such to keep it around for now. If I were them, I'd link to BSky on all posts

Lists are relatively easy to make but only show you posts from predefined people. Feeds are more powerful but harder to configure.
If you want to try feeds, take a look at SkyFeed: skyfeed.app

Try making some lists/feeds. It can help to keep content organized. I have a list of news outlets and political figures that I use for when I'm wanting politics, and I just tried making a feed earlier to provide mostly animals, photography, and nature posts for when I need a break.

Looks like this post ended up detached from the rest, so here's a link.

Just found this regarding the direct file option. Sounds like the team who was in charge of working on the site was disbanded but the option still remains in service. (At least for now...)

Interesting... If that's the case then maybe the direct file submissions aren't getting processed anymore. I used one of the free file partners myself, FreeTaxUSA. I imagine that gets sent through just like it would from H&R Block/TurboTax since it e-files much like those.

Right? Given how they've been gutting everything else as fast as possible, I was also pretty surprised.

I should also add that they are now over here on Bluesky and it looks like they need some more followers. Go check them out! @drawmocracy.bsky.social

In case anyone else wanted it, here's the same political cartoon but as an image and not a video. Credit seems to be "Drawmocracy"/"Purple Haze"

I just looked into it and it looks like Biden had also secured an agreement for 10k troops to be sent to the border, not 15k. Though Biden was able to achieve that cooperation without the threat of market destabilizing tariffs.
