our next album new idol concept is on the horizon

Post-rehearsal reflection: The Kaoss Pad KP3+ is the greatest musical instrument ever created!!! Sounds amazing, well… if weird digital artefacts are your thing, and it’s so much fun to play!!!! I love it so much!!!!

Rehearsing my set for Vaporwave Pop Up Shop and I’ve finally found that sweet spot between knowing what to do and the set being wild enough that it continually threatens to run away with me. After weeks of feeling bad, it finally feels good!!

🚨 EVENT ALERT 🚨 Our friends down under have a live vaporwave event on the horizon - April 5th at 4:20 local time in Melbourne! Come see @bluescreensg.bsky.social @doktorb.bsky.social @dark5lalom.bsky.social @daydream-deluxe.bsky.social and others at the Pop Up Shop!

Not sure how many Australian people follow me but I’m playing a real life, live set in actual meatspace in about a month. I’ve been really scared to post this because it’s been so long since I played live live I’m worried I’ll embarrass myself. events.humanitix.com/vaporwave-po...

So good to see that @dbapplegate.bsky.social hasn’t stopped stopping!!!!

I can’t believe this came out more than a year ago!! I love the art that @trashpandaqc.bsky.social put together for this project, their aesthetic is wonderful, equal parts hyper digital glitch and humanly handmade!

@doktorb.bsky.social & i do a sick VS set notice everyone else is b2b?? we VS theres a MAGENTA VS DOKTORB II set in the archives too :}

I've been quiet on the music-making front because I'm trying something new that has made me realise how all the time I spent hanging around in self-indulgent improv and noise scenes gave me a lot of very bad habits that make it near impossible to do simple things in a precise and disciplined way

And that's #hooptober 11 done and dusted. This year was an absolute blast!!!!!!!!

Watched Craven's Deadly Friendly this weekend for #hooptober and I've gotta say, if studio meddling can produce an extreme gore meets Batteries Not Included-style family movie hybrid about a necro cyborg love affair, then maybe studios should meddle more

I am confused by all the <1 star reviews for The Mangler 2: Graduation Day on Letterboxd which read like people were expected something more. Who with a working knowledge of the first movie would willingly watch this nonsense and be surprised that it's gloriously crap? #hooptober

One of the best things about #hooptober is that it fills in gaps in my genre movie education because each year the curation rules expose me to things I probably wouldn't think to explore on my own. Here's looking at you Race with the Devil (1975) and Planet of the Vampires (1965)

Another #hooptober thought, the real monster in The Faculty was Josh Hartnett's haircut!
