You’re not wrong. Bluesky IS the place for hard convos. Even if attacks from the wounded on our side hurt. It IS a numbers game. Not a clique. It’s about power.

It took the Nazis one month, three weeks, two days, eight hours, and 40 minutes to dismantle a constitutional republic. When the fire starts to burn, every good person better be ready to man a post with a bucket of water if you want to stop it from raging out of control.

In so far as this convo, yes, she will. She’s a grown up and understands when she’s being asked for credentials. Bluesky is a platform to teach, support and amplify common values. At least that’s my understanding of it.

Say it louder to the dense crowd in the back. It’s difficult to hear back there.

There is a genuine threat to trans lives. Did not mean to minimize.

Is that the way to alliance? I will, when I call my reps to fight for rights, specifically, vociferously advocate for trans lives. I will/have write(n) in support of trans lives. When a woman stops me in the street to get me to vote red in order support “girls’ sports,” I will call her out on her bs

I spent much of the Bush(it) years explicating much of their actions. I was a regular on HuffPost, Smirking Chimp, etc. There is a through artery connecting all of the nefarious moves of GWB to TFG.

Oops. Numbered incorrectly! Call this 5/5! Don’t take that person in the mirror too seriously!

4/4 If you have one, look in a mirror. Study the face that looks back. It’s yours. They/she/he has your literal back. Be that person. But remember, not everyone has a mirror. Help one person who doesn’t.

3/3 Look at your life right now. Name your biggest blessing, even if it’s just a bed and blanket. Commit to preserving it. If it’s a person or a people, take an action that says, “I am grateful for you.”

2/3 Call a representative. Use a local number. Speak from your heart. Allow your fears air. Hang up. Release the fear.

She and Tana French are two of my favorite authors. Always read Haigh. Why isn’t she on Bluesky?

I wish it would help to put to bed all of our reliance on standardized tests. He scored low on the Wonderlic. It mattered not at all.
