My family revitalizes abandoned homes, maintains them, and rents them fairly. I'm very proud of our work.
We also play games of all descriptions, especially on a table.
I like math and science most, but am interested in everything.

With opposition this large and motivated, how did he even win the election? He's definitely lost support in the last six months, but I'm becoming very suspicious of those November returns. (He cheated. Guys, the election was stolen. That's what I'm saying.)

(I kinda made a whole thing - a card game - about this and similar ideas, specifically in medieval Arabia, details in my pinned post. I really ought to set up the new shop...)

"Western Civilization" isn't a thing, just an idea made up by xenophobic supremacists. One of my favorite examples is the guitar. The word is so old that we can't tell if Greek gave it to Arabic or the other way around, because those peoples have been in constant dialog essentially forever.

From the scanner right now: LAPD is taking rubber bullets from LASD. I am not joking. (They're in each other's crossfire, it's a clusterfuck that they've largely brought on themselves)

The effort involved in getting a landlord who doesn't want to to fix something is insane. In so many places even filling the complaint gets you evicted and blacklisted! How does that work? It's no way to ensure public safety.

I assumed it was too stop himself from going for his flask.
(Alcoholism is a serious challenge and I don't want to make anyone struggling with that demon feel badly. But I also wouldn't want you guys in a cabinet position until you were a few years into recovery.)

Best news. Not because they're sad, but because they know that what they're being told to do is wrong. Keep doing the right thing, we salute you.

They told NOAA to cancel all activities except for trying to find two siblings going by the code names "el niño" and "la niña," neither has been seen this year.

The 250th anniversary of the Army is marked by it turning on its own people.
America has a long, long way to come back from all this.

Yeah, the shift manager will just tell you to go to the website and think you're weird.

Turns out "don't run your mouth at me" isn't actually a rule. But toddlers with guns are a sensitive lot.

Right? So yes, let's end all those wasteful oil and gas subsidies right now!
comment in response to

I just did the math. Oil and gas get more than 48 times the subsidies that solar does. Last year it was 95 times because we're finally starting to invest in solar.

Same symptom as everything Trump's inner circle misunderstands. They know our military is loyal, but they don't think they have to do any of the things that created or maintain that loyalty; so they're cashing it in for quarterly profits.

People who will say anything for power found the people who will give their power to anyone who says the right thing. It's pretty awful.

Oh, we don't. But apparently there's seventy million people who are okay with it and enjoy telling us how much they'd love to do violence.

Stop all business in the Senate until he's gone.

No, this is good. Our Senators are speaking out. Everyone from the least to most powerful is speaking out. It's not that they're skipping ahead, it's that we learned the lesson. We're doing it different. We're doing it right.
