There were SO MANY people at those protests, even at 20 below in February (it used to get cold even in Toronto), and then we'd see news coverage of global protests... it seemed like how could they? But they did.

One of the most impactful disappointments of my life was when they started that fucking war after I had frozen my ass off at multiple wintertime protests, that were coordinated with protests all over the world, and I was young and idealistic and really thought we could stop it.

I'll put out a formal call eventually, but if anyone wants to play a lead role in curating a visual arts exhibition or a musical show, let me know!

I am 47 and now that I'm perimenopausal I'm finally recognizing my day-before period cramps, which are in my back, instead of thinking I must have slept funny/gone too hard at the gym/carried something heavy each and every time.

I have a longtime crush on a transmasc character, and his name is Josh in Holding Still for as Long as Possible by Zoe Whittall

We're going to start with this place in Toronto that does archery and bb guns. Kiddo has loved archery at summer camp, so it's a way to include him and make it not scary (for him) and less scary (for us.)

fire, shelter, and water were the main points of the training i did yesterday. going to do foraging next, and also learn to shoot. (i will not be vegetarian if it's no longer feasible!) i'm starting a go bag now. Toronto is not likely to be safe, being a big city, & also across the lake from the US.

Always happy for an excuse to eat more eggs.

I had no idea that was a thing. I thought we only flexed about our beer, healthcare, and hockey skills.

Luckily my kiddo does archery at summer camp and he claims he's pretty good! I'm gonna see for myself.

Congrats! I never advance vote, but only because there's always a polling station in my actual building on election days, maximum convenience.

A decade ago my own wife thought I was delulu for having even an inchoate plan, but now she may come with me to a shooting range.
