I finished season 3 of White Lotus, is it too late for me to enter Discourse?

I created an Eventbrite if you want to get it into your calendar: www.eventbrite.ca/e/indie-quee...

The Bi+ Arts Festival and Queer Toronto Literary Magazine is seeking work from Bi, Pan and Fluid artists that reflect what it feels like to Flirt With Fire, however that manifests foe you. Deadline July 8. Submission guidelines can be found on qtmag.ca/submission-g... #queer #literary

This has happened to me! I'm not a business but I've been promoting my queer arts endeavors and now I'm locked out, no one can see my posts. The notification said it was because I violated the "cyber security" standard but I don't know how to hack or whatever. It's awful.

I got gamers on here, right? My almost 13 year old REALLY wants to play Elden Ring, which is rated Mature. How bad is it really? I mean, I started reading Stephen King at 13... although I can't really claim that I turned out alright. 😀

Come to Super Bargain on Parliament to see these amazing indie queer authors (and me!) On June 26!

actually, moving slowly and deliberately while carefully evaluating the results of your actions is good

I am in love with this story! It's a satisfying feast of ideas about religion and sex and sex work and class and bodily autonomy and more.

I do not want PP to defund the CBC for many reasons, not of them radio-related, but also Small Achievable Goals is the most relatable show for me and my similarly-aged wife, where else will be find the comedic perimenopausal content that we need?

Out for a drink and dinner before Kylie Minogue!

AAAAHHHH, Ontario Arts Council has money for us after all, the Bi+ Arts Festival is BACK this year baby! September will bring Toronto a big ole extravaganza of BiPan writing, visual arts, music, comedy, dance, drag, it's all happening!

I'm way too old for concerts without seating, but I keep putting my feet and back through it because live music is just so magical. Aysanabee last night was incredible. That voice! Like jam made from bourbon. He came into the crowd to sing We Were Here. Wow, what a night.

"The reality became clear: Ice detention isn’t just a bureaucratic nightmare. It’s a business. These facilities are privately owned and run for profit. Companies like CoreCivic and GEO Group receive government funding based on the number of people they detain"

Is Drake the first rapper in history to LEGALLY lose a rap battle?

Chemo consult for my mom is done, this week's focus is wife's birthday, 3 events bc we're like that. Indian buffet on the actual day, my birthday gift is dinner at Cafe Isobel and then the Aysanabee concert Friday, Saturday is her party. Indulging in joy is also apocalypse planning.

oh no, my mom gave me a Marion Zimmer Bradley book, what do i do

TORONTO!!! Come join us at Glad Day on Wednesday evening!!!

Toronto!! I’m like, in u

I love Anthony's writing and this piece is no different!

Got a question for our upcoming Brockton Writers guest speaker or readers? Drop it in the comments.

I went to a wilderness survivalist training yesterday because I have serious apocalypse anxiety righty now, and it doesn't hurt to know shit, right? I'd never heard of a ferro rod before and now it's my next purchase for sure. Anyway, it was beautiful and sunny and I had a great time. A+ Saturday.

I do not love the file change forced on me at work, but at least I got to yell about invisibilizing trans folks in developing gender discrimination training through a side-of-desk thing. (And by "yell" I do mean leave strongly worded comments in reviewing a slide deck.)

can't wait for this!!!! join us at my old home GLAD DAY for a very special night!

Looking forward to being in Toronto for @brocktonwriters.bsky.social so soon!

Watching the Oscars for the first time in a long time & glad for it to see the AMAZING speech from the Palestinian & Israeli winners of best doc. Kieran Culkim also gave such an icky Are The Straights OK moment, uuugh.

We knew this was coming. We've been preparing for months. Call your reps. Don't give them rest. And you don't need to wait and hold your breath on a bill like this - take sensible precautions NOW. This article offers dozens of places to start.

I had an amazing experience publishing with LSQ, and now I love reading/listening to their stories. (Audio/podcast fiction is super helpful to me because if I'm reading a physical book on transit I will miss my stop.) If you haven't checked them out, I recommend it!

Nominations are now open for the 2025 Ursula K. Le Guin Prize for Fiction—and anyone can nominate work for this $25,000 prize! We hope you'll nominate books you love that meet this year's criteria:

I feel less despairing today. Last night bf figured out cable so we watched basketball with kiddo; today I'm seeing @premeemohamed.com then eating a delicious Egyptian dinner with wife; tomorrow it's an urban agriculture class at Allan Gardens and then the Oscars becase bf loves Conan, lol.

I'm telling people about my apocalypse planning these days and not laughingly, and these people are not laughing at me either. That's where we're at.
