BREAKING: The SEC has dropped its enforcement case against Coinbase. Coinbase spent $46 million to influence the outcome of the election. Now they're already getting their payoff.

The battle of our day is no longer about Democrats versus Republicans or left versus right. The choice right now is democracy or dictatorship. And we're sliding faster than I ever thought possible into the latter. Everyone must choose which side they’re on. Now.

Get Ready For Delayed Tax Refunds, Long Hold Times After Mass IRS Firings But wealthy tax evaders will enjoy “a feast” as the strained federal agency lacks the resources to hold them accountable, said one tax policy expert.

Arresting someone for calling you fascist seems an excellent approach to proving their point.

Mitch McConnell isn't going to seek reelection next year. Good riddance. He helped architect this whole Trump disaster. No amount of protest votes will absolve his rotten conscience.

Remember how Republicans normalized school shootings? The exact same ppl are doing the exact same thing with daily plane crashes They don't care if live or die

If you ever wondered how a civilized modern country like Germany could have gone so completely and violently insane, you're looking right at it. Shoulda shown up.

You know this is 100% going to happen…

He should be our messenger.

— Accidentally fired workers trying to contain bird flu — Accidentally fired workers overseeing our nuclear stockpile — Accidentally fired workers providing health care to Native Americans “Accidentally.” More like gross incompetence and mismanagement. Opposite of efficient.

hey @mattyglesias.bsky.social, the piece that you link to here — my piece — does not say that “all DEI critics want to reimpose segregation” and i would appreciate it if you didn’t lie to your audience about what my work says.

And you know who you have to blame for this, Nikki?

In private, Republicans talk about their fear that Trump might incite his MAGA followers to commit political violence against them if they don’t rubber-stamp his actions. “They’re scared shitless about death threats and Gestapo-like stuff,” a former member of Trump’s first administration tells me.

Murphy: "There's no separation between the Kremlin & the White House right now. The White House is a full-time Kremlin propaganda operation..there's a real probability American troops are going to have fight abroad to protect the global world order & our allies & perhaps American sovereignty itself"

There are moments in these deportation fights when I can just FEEL how pissed off they are that I’m Puerto Rican 😂 they want to threaten me with it so bad 😂

President Zelenskyy has been one of the greatest leaders of our time, guiding Ukraine through the darkest period of its recent history, rising up to Russia’s unwarranted aggression, being an inspiration to the Ukrainian people and ensuring that Ukraine’s voice is heard on the world stage.

@jenpsaki.msnbc.com: "Inspectors general are a headache for everyone. You know why? Because they're investigating every agency and they find stuff! Including waste and fraud and abuse! They wouldn't be firing them if they cared about waste, fraud, and abuse."

“There’s too much going on. It’s overwhelming.” If that sounds familiar, this piece is for you. Jay Kuo breaks up Donald's latest power plays into three categories: bad, worse, and worst. It may sound heavy, but understanding them makes it easier to stay informed without feeling buried.

In 2019, RFK Jr visited Samoa to spread anti-vax lies, spurring a measles outbreak that led to the deaths of 83 people - mostly children. We can’t let that tragedy repeat in Texas. The MMR vaccine is 97% effective at preventing measles. Let’s stop the spread. www.cbsnews.com/news/texas-m...

When a judge stops the president from doing something illegal, that’s not a “threat to democracy,” that’s a check on the president’s power. That's the whole damn point.

taking black kids away from their parents and putting them on farms seems really familiar to me! what could it be?

Go ahead. Let the people see you for what you are.

On WNYC Public Radio, Presidential Historian, Douglas Brinkley just compared Musk with Rasputin. Hmm…

These kids have more backbone than anyone in the US government. www.stripes.com/theaters/eur...

Such petty, childish outbursts.

This is exactly right. The administration is clearly removing checks and balances and embracing corruption. It's a misnomer to call them "Conservative," as they conserve nothing. They are the party of fraud, waste, and abuse in every sense.

We got a Costco membership for the first time in our lives today. They asked why & I said because treat your workers well, you value diversity, & you didn’t cave in to authoritarian demands. He said: “We’ve been getting lots of folks saying that, thanks for joining.” Who needs a gallon of ketchup?

Correct. If the birthdate field contains corrupt or mismatched data, it defaults to 1875-05-20, which serves as a flag. May 20, 1875, is the day the international standards and metrics treaty was signed. Everything is a conspiracy when you don’t know how anything works.

Fascism isn’t coming to America, it’s already here. We are long past the warnings of an approaching existential threat looming on the distant horizon of our story, which many of us spent the past decade imploring people not to ignore. johnpavlovitz.substack.com/p/fascism-is...

I hear the nagging question you ask inside your head a few hundred times a day: "Is it me, or has a huge portion of this country lost its mind?" It isn't you. johnpavlovitz.substack.com/p/dont-gasli...
