I got turned down for a job (the job i was actuality doing) and the only feedback I was given was that I was a bit too weird. 10 years and an autism diagnosis later...I should sue the pants off them

I thought this was ant of ant and dec abs was very concerned about the potential Overton window shift

Though getting a job has always been difficult. The ultimate honest feedback was... you are just a bit weird

Since my diagnosis at 50... I've finally been able to keep a job when the person who gave me the job left. I can now say 'this is why I seem odd'

I thought the same...I have not run at all since lock down, and even before then I only did 3k. Saturday was persuaded to join the park run. 405th out of 450. Olddies and people pushing prams zooming past me, but I did it. And will aim to do better next week
... assuming my legs can bend by then

I think he may be correct, but possibly not in the way he thinks. Discovering that the rest of the world has things like TVs and computers as well as universal healthcare, without becoming a communist hell hole has probably sent quite a few of the more insular types off in a spin

We had to pay £800 to the council for a certificate to prove that the non supporting wall removed 30 years previously was actually non supporting. The inspector literally turned up and said... yes it's non supporting. And that was it

Omg that is pretty much the only batman comic book I had as a kid. That gets me right in the feels. I can just about remember the tourist trap I got it from in Malaga about 45 years ago

That's going to knacker any work on ai. How are they going to discuss neutral networks without referring to the bias weight. Or are they just going to rename it freedom weight or something equally stupid

that was a few months after my mum died, so it was all a bit rubbish. We moved home a couple of months ago, mainly because we could no longer look out of our window.

I would be really interested in those students post 16 outcomes. Once upon a time I had a student who could basically regurgitate the gcse textbooks and got straight a*. They utterly failed at a level physics. Memorising the text book does not help you problem solve

Putting the twitter rantings of the head to one side...I always found the idea of that school terrifying. Terrifying for me as a teacher that is. It is the logical outcome to the govian changes to gcse back in 2012ish, but I would be hanging up my white board marker is my school was like that.

Our school spent a lot of money on 'Brain Gym', getting the kids to do sessions immediately before each exam. It turned up in a science exam as an example of pseudo-science.

So does the burst of George singing it during the recording of band aid doc count?

I really enjoyed it's 'greatest hits' approach. Rogue1 is my fave. And my unpopular opinion... the prequels would have been an amazing tv series, but the plot did not make great movies.
