I don’t deal in “what If’s” you could be right. I deal in when it’s happened I respond accordingly. “If” military rolls into my neighborhood we respond not before. That’s just fear driving your actions which is never good lol

Wow, glad someone else sees it. If you believe DOGE was about saving money by cutting waste fraud & abuse, you’re delusional. #Trusk now has access to the greatest information database on every American. What do you think Trump & Musk are gonna use it for?

Amazing a voice of reason in the DNC. He is exactly right all we can do for now & must do is; peacefully protest, organize & prepare for the next election. Anything else, violence, vandalism, or the like will only feed the far right agenda. Remember, we are the civilized ones act like it.

Love the sentiment, not the solution. Elections are what matter you’ll just have to wait for the next one. “Blood“ is a solution you really don’t wanna see or maybe you do and that would be dumb. I agree it might be necessary, but we’re not there yet so be calm.

Apparently, you didn’t watch Waiting for Superman documentary. I know people in the NYC system. I’ve read Chicago, LA, & other major cities have the same problems with teacher union contracts that even new teachers are hard to fire & tenured are Really hard to fire regardless of their performance.
comment in response to post
In your school district maybe. That’s not the case in some of the largest ones. Unions (I do support them) negotiate unworkable deals, they prevent evaluations, have no real standards & subsequently prevent admins effectively managing a quality teaching force. NYC wastes Millions on bad teachers.
comment in response to post
I agree, but there has to be better standards and ways to get rid of bad teachers. While tenure offers protection, there needs to be carve outs for blatant, inappropriate or ineffective teaching. I’m sure you’ve watched Waiting for Superman. A well educators workforce is not only about salary.

Yeah, I agree. I just worry that hindsight is 2020 and will look back on this and realize it happened before we thought. My panic button is use of the insurrection act.

The charging papers haven’t been filed publicly yet

Judges first, next journalists, and then opposition politicians. People better wake up before we wind up living in China or Russia like society Congress needs to do its job and even members of the GOP there know this is wrong.
comment in response to post
I agree. The only problem I’m having right now is, are we already in the abyss?
comment in response to post
Now they’re arresting judges. People better wake up. Once they start arresting judges, next will be journalist, and then opposing politicians. You had better understand that this leads to authoritarianism. This is not America! If I wanted to live in China or Russia, I’d move! #WAKE-UP-CALL

Here we go now they’re arresting judges, watch out people!

I think JD Vance did it

Wow, cool let’s burn more coal. That’ll help right? Idiots in DC are destroying our justice system, our economy, so why not the environment too.
comment in response to post
Justice is slow so just relax. They voted 9 to 0 that every person must receive due process. Trump can no longer just pick you up and kick you out. If he does that, that’s not a SCOTUS problem. Other stuff Will work out
I hope. I know I won’t like everything, but most of them understand the law.

Buckle up it’s gonna keep getting worse people wake up and save your pennies. Be ready to kick the weak GOP out of power in 18 months. Your vote had consequences if you voted that way. The rest of us knew better.
comment in response to post
That’s aimed at all his billionaire friends because right now a lot of them wanna cut his nuts off. He could care less about us and with the weak GOP thinks. #TrumpTariffs #Recession

“Useful idiot” as Putin would say

Yup. Distracted by the flashing red & yellow lights instead of focusing on real harm & being robbed by Citizens United under the all mighty dollar

If you believe there has been no progress in over 200 years I really can’t have a rational discussion. I study history. There have been many advancements. Hate & racism will always be around true. Doesn’t mean it is the majority or even plurality’s view. In my lifetime I’ve seen amazing change. Hope

Amanda, the massive effects of these changes will cross all boundaries and political beliefs. Trust me the people will feel it. They don’t need to hear about it. If he continues these tariff/trade policies (paging Walmart Trump voters) the economic fallout, which he was elected on, will crush them.

100% agree, more lawsuits, more lawsuits, peaceful protests, peaceful protests, and get ready to vote. People need to vote in every single election, including local ones and vote Democrat no matter how you feel about the candidate. This will send a clear message that we will not tolerate This BS.
comment in response to post
The history of America on race, not great. I’m hopeful the future always improves. Many changes are 2 steps forward 1 backward. Currently we are in some 3 steps backward BS. Floyd woke many white people up, not enough. “the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.” -MLK

Amazing Sherrie not an easy task. Mine turns 78 this year. She’s completely healthy except for the dementia/Alzheimer’s. She’s hardly on any medication and I’ve been caring for her pretty much full-time for four years. My girlfriend does the showers thank God lol 😂

Yeah good point most people don’t know crap about what’s happening under the ice. We barely do even if you try to stay informed on it. War with Russia for Arctic, above & below, control is a real problem. Unless Trusk gifts it to Putin. Maybe for his birthday lol
comment in response to post
Me too. This affects me directly since I am the full-time caregiver to my mother who relies on Social Security if an ACLU lawyer or whoever asked me to participate and something DOGE does harms my mom I’m in.
comment in response to post
Everybody on here seems to be screaming. “We need to do something!” Well, lay out a plan! They’re pointing out harm & you’re saying do something. Be specific. What should we do? Then we can discuss the merits of your suggestions. Highlighting the harm & peaceful protests is all we can do for now.
comment in response to post
Good! Let the stupid keep doing stupid. This insanity will get the rational, but unfortunately misled voters to wake up and change their mind. Until there are tanks on the street and my vote is taken away, I remain hopeful.
comment in response to post
I know I sound like a broken record, but elections have consequences. Focus on the ones that die because of these policies and changes you’re not going to stop them. This is the only way unfortunately to get people to wake up and pay attention. The harm must happen! In one year 10 months we vote.
comment in response to post
You’re right. Unfortunately, elections have consequences and we will all suffer them. When more people die unfortunately because of lack of regulation and proper safety, the American people will hopefully wake up and vote accordingly. Until they take away my right to vote I remain hopeful.

If you break the glass & it gets in your friends eye, what do you do? I understand the frustration & empathize. What must be clear is elections have consequences! I’m sorry to say we must suffer them. Ignoring a SCOTUS order or taking away my right to vote then we can talk about breaking glass.
