if you are a cis person it costs you nothing to just say today that you see & hear your trans sisters & brothers & others over in the UK today -- and around the world, too, knowing that rulings like today's ripple out in ugly ways.

No one should be above the law, most especially the President. Ignoring a Supreme Court ruling to facilitate Kilmar Abrego Garcia's return isn't just cruel; it's unconstitutional. They're saying the quiet part aloud — if they get away with it now, they'll do it to anyone.

Fascists speak in emotion, not facts. I see people disputing this utter nonsense as if it’s a fact claim, and correction will counter it. But it’s communicating “don’t you love cruelty to brown people? Isn’t hurting this innocent man thrilling? You’re a victim, so you’re entitled to feel that way.”

I’ve never seen a tweet that more effectively communicates how we got to this current situation

I dunno, I just think if you are a college administrator you should only use the phrase "we cannot protect you" vis-a-vis immigrant students if it is part of your resignation letter.

You set the house on fire, watched it burn, and then lost your nerve and put it out. You now have a partially burned house. Great job.

Much of the cardboard and paper goods strewn about our homes are sold by a single private company, with its name, Uline, stamped on the bottom. Few Americans know that a multibillion-dollar fortune made on those ubiquitous products fuels far-right candidates across the country. (Published 2022)

this simple moral clarity from Fourth Circuit judge Stephanie Thacker in denying the government's request not to have to return someone it admits it deported to hell by mistake sets the only acceptable tone from every judge in every one of these cases forever

Every statement from Trump officials right now is just “Evacuate now? In our moment of triumph?”

I appreciate all of these detailed analysis of what’s wrong with the policy, but the crucial thing to keep in mind here is that Donald Trump sincerely, literally does not understand what a tariff is and when that is your starting point, nothing beyond it really matters.

Bad people don't deserve due process. Who's a bad person? Anyone the Leader says is a bad person. You don't like this policy? That sounds like something a bad person would say...

Booker: "I confess that I have been imperfect. I confess that I've been inadequate to the moment. I've confess that the Democratic Party has made terrible mistakes that gave a lane to this demagogue. I confess we all must look in the mirror and say 'we will do better.'"

New Jersey Sen. @corybooker.com is on the Senate floor, saying, "I rise with the intention of disrupting the normal business of the United States Senate for as long as I am physically able" to protest President Trump and Elon Musk. Watch live: www.c-span.org/event/us-sen...

"I have lost faith that I could walk the streets without being abducted" is about as damning a review of the current state of US student visa system as you're ever going to see

Release Rumeysa. Release Mahmoud. Release Badar. Release every single wrongfully detained person. This is fascism, pure and simple. We must stand up for them, we cannot sit idly by. If we remain silent, we are complicit. #politicalrevolution #releaserumeysa #releasemahmoud #releasebadar

i think these people are in the grip of a genuine delusion www.nbcchicago.com/news/busines...

JUST BECAUSE THE CLOWN CAR GOES VERY FAST DOES NOT MEAN IT ISN’T FULL OF CLOWNS

They are breaking Social Security, because they do not like Social Security.

Donald Trump’s billionaire Commerce Secretary has financial advice for Americans: 1. Please buy Tesla stock to help poor Elon Musk. 2. Shut up and don’t complain when you don’t get your Social Security check.

This threatens to upend decades of progress and hard-won reforms that strive to protect our nation’s most vulnerable students from neglect and discrimination.

@djpressman.bsky.social, Soha Hammam, and I draw on our research through the Crowd Counting Consortium to show that there is far more protest happening in the US than is commonly understood, and that the shift to economic noncooperation shows powerful potential for future collective action.

A little treat for you today: some actual GOOD NEWS for trans rights in both the EU and even the US! Doctors & researchers published a massive report supporting gender affirming care for kids, and a judge OBLITERATING Trump's legal team in the funniest way possible skepchick.org/2025/03/wins...

Wow. Watch this from Zohran Mamdani. It looks like the exact "fight" and "conviction" people are hopelessly asking for from the people in charge of the Democratic party:

1. Major news in transgender care. Germany, Switzerland, and Austria have just released their trans youth care guidelines. They strongly recommend trans youth care and slam the Cass Review in England. Europe is not "pulling back" on trans care. Subscribe to support our journalism.
