I think so too: the rest of the lecture was probably overstuffed with details and too much of a reading-out-loud vibe. That said, a senior colleague was present and said he didn't notice any panic or change, so maybe everyone was so fed up by that point it didn't matter.

The first ever lecture I gave (I was a PhD student, audience of 200 UGs) totalled 12 pages. I turned over page 8 and pages 9-12 were nowhere to be seen. Internal panic set in but I tried to remain composed, and muddled through the final 15 minutes with a *lot* less detail. It was awful.
