FL, LA? Neither has “large parts built under…sea level.” The southern-most coast of LA has some below sea level esp due to damage, & it’s a myth that New Orleans is “all” below sea level. Parts, yes. All, no. MS, AL, east coast get damage, too. Is all that below sea level?

Litigation is not why rates increase. It’s more profiteering than being the victim of lawsuits. Fraud happens but you don’t punish the 95% bc of the 5% who cheat/lie. Root out the fraud, yes. Punish those doing the right thing, no.

Louisiana also has an unaffordable home insurance market. Some folks who own their homes are losing them bc they can’t afford 25-50% price increases. At the same time there are homes still needing repair from Ida bc payouts are too small or complicated to get. We all sink or we all swim together.
