Did you mean "counter to American values", or did you mean "counter to USAir (dba American)" values?

I'll never forget how at HKG and TPE they either opened an extra lane just for me, or allowed me to cut a line, because I had a stroller.

Thank you to the dragon boat teammate who taught me that port = left because they're both 4 letters, and port = red because that's the stain you'd get if you spilled some on you

I wonder if they should've diverted instead

Plot twist: This is actually a 4000 year old ad for toe nail fungus treatments

A hundred years ago I worked on installers and one the earlier generations of auto updates at Microsoft. That was a real crash course in InfoSec.

You must be really lucky! The flights I’ve looked at were all overbooked to begin with!

Nice. Thanks!

4/ It was very surreal, and a harbinger of what was to come.

3/ The employees would find surgical masks in the back, bring them out, and ask the first few people if they wanted them. Some would take them, some would pass them on to others - holding out hope for N95s. A few surfaced eventually right before the store closed, and I got one box.

2/ I couldn’t fully understand what people were saying, but I got the sense that some were on a similar mission, while others for themselves. The employees knew the ritual. It was orderly and customers who got there first had first right of refusal.

I'm relatively new to this summer camp thing. Were they always this expensive pre-pandemic?

It's a pretty big lot... maybe the play is to wait until some day in in the future when you can build an apartment building?

Oh great now I need to undo some of the claims I made to my kid!

Wait, do people really not feel comfortable about getting a table for 1? Maybe I've done too much business travel.

I noticed the rust the last time I was there with my kid. I had assumed it was intentional, and for science education reasons. But maybe it was just a "oops"!

People have forgotten that pre-TSA, security checkpoints were manned by the cheapest contractor the airline could fly. So you’d see checkpoints with tip jars. At JFK. After 9/11. (This post isn’t mine - but I saw this at T8 Nov 2001)

I like it. But now my first thought on seeing things like this is "how fire resistant is it?"

Wait, for real? With needles? And Max is ok with this?

Absolute tragedy that it ended after just 5 seasons!

Same for NYC - even within Manhattan!

Given how glued people are to screens, I think the "fun" factor might be a lot more screens now - like how Tesla added this to their refreshed Y just launched in China. I think there's only room for one "fun" player and that's where Mazda lives.

That's seems like bad news for Toyota / Honda!

I tried to get a stop sign added to an intersection near me, and the city responded that there hadn’t been any accidents 🤦‍♂️

2 / 2 / 1062 sqft Slightly better deal in Central, which seems more convenient. I do wonder what HOAs and property taxes are like. Some of the HOAs I’ve seen in Manhattan are just wild. hongkonghomes.com/en/property/... 0
