I turned the TV off in the top of the 9th when I had to leave for work. I said to myself I wouldn't be surprised if they won the game the way they've been playing this year.

Just finished Rhythm of War. Now I have to read Shadows of Self before I read Wind and Truth.

The character referenced isn't in the early books and doesn't even become a true side character until book 3. Some of the main plot points were caused by him in the early books, but we don't find that out until later.

I'm too cheap to use DoorDash. The only time I tried to use it, I noped right out of the app after seeing the total. I just drove to the restaurant and picked it up myself.

I read a fantasy trilogy that the protagonist slowly crossed one moral line after another to combat the big bad evil doer in the 1st book, that by the last book, he became the new villain. Always thought that Star Wars should have done it this way.

Same, I bought it at least 6 months ago. I've moved it up to 4th on my list to read this year.

I was at that game. So great to see Cardinal fans cheering for what they thought was a walk off homerun and then slowly realize they were cheering for a Cubs victory. It was also unbearably hot that night. Just ridiculously so.

I hate memes like this because it helps perpetuate the idea that he would be better with the economy. We are going to have sicker kids, AND his policies are going to make the economy worse. There is no upside.

I went to the St Louis Symphony to see the Legend of Zelda music performed and overheard the people in front of me talking. They were season ticket holders, so they went to the show without knowing what the game was even about. They thoroughly enjoyed the music.
