alright, i'm calling it, using "adult" as a verb is dead now, the fucking business insider is doing it

We're closing out the season with the magnificent @dtmooreeditor.bsky.social and a game of Dungeons and Disorderly David will lead us through a dungeons and dragons style game, led by prompts from you, our delightful audience! Join us in live the Discord, Sun 16th March 8:30pm! discord.gg/wUCQFn7U

I was a theatre kid in my teens. Once (when I was 13 or 14 or so?), the director and the makeup artist on a production I was involved with were talking about getting in the required makeup for aging one of the actors, and I said, "You'll need some Dorian Grey."

Just finished The Siege of Burning Grass by @premeemohamed.com -- moving Mohamed from the "read everything by this author" column to the "buy everything by this author" column. bookshop.org/p/books/the-...

calling it now: Luigi Mangione will be elected First President of the Second American Republic

see also the party of conservatism tearing up convention, the party of free speech banning words and ideas, the party that fought the cold war kneeling to Russia, etc. you could almost question whether they ever had any principles at all...

yoonhalee.com/games/2025-0... Ninefox VN *text-only prologue prototype,* has cuss words. 5 minutes to "play" (CYOA). Any feedback appreciated: yoon at yoonhalee dot com (let me know how, if at all, you'd like to be credited; I've limited replies because emails are easier for me to track!)

I know we keep saying "this is literally what Hitler did," but Trump's new executive order is actually, literally what Hitler did. He used the democratic system to just barely scrape into power, then changed the rules so that he was no longer subject to that system.

Further to this (and inspired directly by my two most recent edits): Sometimes, you'll find you've used the same word too many times, or in too quick succession. Resist the temptation to find a synonym for that word. Rewrite instead; there's almost certainly a way to just take out the repeated word.

My review of Captain America. It has spoilers but given all the BS around this film i think you should read this before seeing it. #disney. #marvel.

please buy and read this book (and all of premee's novels and novellas), it's really, *really* good

This is one of my favorite Premee novellas, actually

Today at @boskone.bsky.social, I read from SAINT DEATH’S HERALD, coming out April 22nd from @solarisbooks.bsky.social. I read a sweetheart scene between Lanie & a dead deer she’s communing with, followed by a scene from the villainous ghost’s POV—and got art by @dbcalligrapher.bsky.social for both!

This is one of the funniest videos I've ever seen in my life

It’s my book birthday! Return to Netherford, my little Kentish village, with gentlewitch Edith Rookwood, her companion Poppy, and a host of new and old characters. It’s queer, cozy magic, with romance and adventure. 🌈✨🐺❤️ Link: bookshop.org/a/21904/9781... #booksky📚💙

Good morning to this man, and this man only #bbcqt

I mean, shit, half the time when I see "the publishing community's silence on recent revelations is telling," I don't actually know what the events in question are; not everyone is following the same stories as you.

Fabulous review from Best Thriller Books (not on Bluesky as far as I know) of @jonmcgoran.bsky.social's THE PRICE OF EVERYTHING! www.bestthrillerbooks.com/kashif-hussa...

Happy book birthday to THE UNKILLABLE PRINCESS by @taranhunt.bsky.social I loved this action-packed, feelings-first caper as the survivors of The Nameless try to outwit politicians and spies without ruining their friendship 🚀💥❤️ @solarisbooks.bsky.social onemore.org/2025/02/12/t...
