Here is you periodic reminder for when you wonder, "Why doesn't <event> happen at <your favorite furry con>?" Furry conventions are volunteer organizations. There's a good chance <event> is not happening because no one volunteered to make it happen. This shit doesn't happen by magic.

I went back to the dealership today to pay the rest of my balance (the cashier was new and undercharged me). She was very nice and I didn't want to get her into trouble. Charlie got to ride along and walk with me through PetSmart while I got his food. I picked up some bibimbop for dinner, too!

In other good news, 6-week post-extraction checkup with the dentist went great, and plans are proceeding for another implant. It was a 3-minute exam, but then we chatted about road tripping and shared photos of our border collies for another 10 minutes 😀

Followup: I have retrieved my Outback from the dealership! Everything is in good order, and I wasn't charged for them fixing the additional oil leak they found. I'm quite happy now; my car is ready for another summer's worth of road trip adventures!

Welp, apparently the dealership found a leak in my car's lower oil pan when they disassembled things and won't get the necessary gasket replacement until tomorrow, so I'm stuck with the loaner for another day. No biggie - I'd rather they deal with the leak now than I discover it later!

Nattering on about cars: I'm about to pay off my Outback (farewell, my sweet 0%/60 month financing), I'm wondering about maybe keeping the Outback and leasing an EV. Monthly payments would likely more than double what I'm paying now, though. Ouch. Maybe an Ioniq 5 though? I like the specs, at least.
