“You’re not investigating; you’re a glorified janitor sweeping up digital crumbs”… ouch. But yes. I’m curious, what’s the biggest gap you see as far as college graduates with degrees coming out unprepared. What’s one thing you would change if you could besides selling the job shortage hype?

I’m still not sure what he meant but I’m taking it as a compliment.

Nothing makes a bad situation worse than those who use it for further exploitation.

Sazerac is a great mix for Absinthe. You could also try my self patented Jekyll and Hyde (Red Bull and Absinthe) but hopefully you’re kinder to yourself than that.

I’ve already set myself up with a nice portable station for practicing. If you’ve got any recommendations on beginner resources I’d love to hear them.

Creating write-ups for challenges is excellent writing practice for communicating your findings to an audience of mixed technical abilities, and gives you an opportunity to contribute back to the community. Side note: the Magnet CTF puns are 10/10.

CTFs present challenges that you likely haven’t seen before. I’ve taken away new skills from every CTF I’ve ever participated in.
