DOGE, Musk and Trump need to get a message: Efficient doesn't cut it when "effective" has been jettisoned. Sure, look for waste, blah, blah, blah, but make sure that the entity remains effective while efficiency is enhanced. Form or function? Well, both actually.

Unemployment insurance for Trump-DOGE purge? Handled by a federal program, Unemployment Compensation for Federal Employees (UCFE), overseen by Dept of Labor, administered by 50 states. UCFE and the states will be overwhelmed, more so if UCFE itself and the Labor Dept are gutted. Expect chaos.
