He's terrified of being assassinated, which is why he's living in the White House but it would do the world a favour if someone took the cunt out

IIR. October 7th, 2023. Israel/Benjamin Netanyahu, IDF had let their guard down, and Hamas + other Palestinians attacked kibbutz and a music festival in southern Israel. A horrific attack. Israel retaliated with the full force of its US-backed military m, far exceeding any reasonable retaliation.

As a nobody, who used Twitter to help inform my opinions about current affairs (and football tactics), it got unusable because every time I logged in the "For You" feed was just controversial posts that I didn't have any interest in, or trolling blue tick replies. Hopefully Bluesky won't go that way

Undoubtedly he'd love to humiliate Vance given the chance. I'm probably reading too much into it but I think the psychodrama is important in Trump land and I'd guess financial backers' guy is Vance, and MAGA is Trump's (presumably a trusted heir) be interesting to see how that uneasy truce holds

Vance has literally been groomed as his replacement, he may flop with voters, and is a charisma vacuum but he'll be the figurehead of their movement

That thread is excellent, thanks! Also (I'm probably wrong here) but it's a crying shame seeing all those "the economy was good in 2019 under Trump" comments from people who voted for him outside of his base, as if somehow and in-spite of his tariffs and tax cut economic plans that's going to happen

If voters want to hear this then it seems like it's quite hard to come back from, needs quite a tough reality check

The mad one is in the debate Harris (I thought) did well in being more cogent, attacking him and making better arguments. However, he dropped "eating the dogs" conspiracy of racist (not even subtle dog whistle) to confirm the whole there are too many immigrants making your life worse line...

He can front a public health campaign "Eat raw roadkill, it's never done me any harm" that brainworm was just bad luck

Won't counter everything continuing to be very expensive and the incumbent takes the blame. Trump is insanely lucky (near assassination top of that list) but for 2020 arguably the first real challenge he had (COVID and doing nothing about it) he failed and lost the election

There absolutely could be, the big worry if I was a US voter, is whether elections will be free and fair (as far as they are now) but Trumps stated economic policy would be hugely inflationary and life being much more expensive will undeniably have hurt Harris/Biden/Dems – disinformation probably...

These days, you get arrested and thrown in jail if you say you're English.

On a similar vein, Ben Ansell wrote a great blog a while before the GE where Badenoch was a prime example of the politician who can't speak to Normies, seems like she repeated the same comms issue here

My ignorance here but her total streams on Spotify are well over a billion according to what they show here, even if she's on 10% royalty, that should mean making north of six figures a few times over. Appreciate it's not regular but also assume she's not paying touring expenses

Can definitely imagine Albini being a fan of both codes of rugby to be fair.
