If it were warmer I'd be wearing my Canada shirt today.

Fuck this guy. I hope his retirement years are personally miserable for him.

We just rearranged our living room to get a new armchair. Make our house more cozy because the outside works is nuts.

I haven't spent a dime at that store since they bent the knee. Screw them.

Thank God. I can't imagine your relief, but also the lingering anger.
Health insurance is a damn scam.

Is no one going to talk about how in the original post it reads "size 29 womens?" That size doesn't even *exist * Sheesh.

Supposedly he's kept her from seeing one of their children for five months. It sounds as if she's done everything she can, but he's got the money to drag it through the courts to ruin her out of spite.

(I say this as someone who's also highly empathetic and cries at news stories all the time. There's nothing wrong with people like us - were not sociopaths.)

You are not a failure for being an empathetic person. The fact that you care so much about others' well-being that you're being worn down isn't weakness. It's that you have more compassion than many, and that's never something that's a fault.

I'm so sorry. Sadly, I've been there. A good friend from years ago contacted me asking to talk. I gave him my schedule, never heard back. (He'd always been flaky that way.) I found his obituary a few months later - brain tumor. I still miss him.
Reach out if it's possible. ๐

If it makes you feel any better, I read that as shorthand for "I break out in a sweat," which made sense, too. It's all good.

I am horrified at what these "ripple effects" may mean not just for the economy here, but for the health of people worldwide. These short-sighted edicts will cause huge fallout. (On a personal level, my spouse is a research scientist and we're worried for his job.)
Thanks for fighting for us all.

I would say they should send it out in Polish and Ukrainian, but we know ICE isn't coming for the palm-colored people. ๐คจ

Remember at the beginning of Pacific Rim, where they said having kaiju rise up out of the oceans is what brought humanity together to fight a bigger threat?
Just thinking about those big ass monsters a lot lately.

The agreement does not absolve Musk and his goons for violating federal law.
File an email complaint to the Treasury Dept for he and his goons violating the 1974 Privacy Act if you haven't already.
It's quick and easy to do.

My friends used to have a monthly movie-watching party and each time it had to have a theme. We once did "the remake was better" and showed The Thomas Crown Affair and Gone in 60 Seconds.

Welcome! I've lived in central IL and the Chicago burbs almost my whole life and I love this state so much.

Illinois! Our governor (who so far appears to be using his billionaire status for good) has banned book bans. He's also banned any Jan 6 rioters from holding state jobs. He also HAAAATES the president and plans to use "state's rights" to protect IL citizens.
