If I were a lawyer pulling this shit I would show up to court with a toothbrush expecting to wind up in custody.

The truth is, not everybody is suited for liberty or democracy. Some people were born with a silver boot in their mouths. Some people have the souls of subjects.

Please read and share. Musk is attempting to blame Ukraine for the X cyberattack, but word has already spread that it was a false flag. What is a false flag? A false flag operation is an act committed to disguise the actual source of responsibility and shift blame onto another party.

Every lawyer should be required to read this. commons.stmarytx.edu/cgi/viewcont...

This is laughably unconstitutional, and when it's struck down, I suspect Trump will just end public service loan forgiveness altogether.

This complaint, filed yesterday by 20 states against the Trump administration over mass terminations of federal workers, is quite a read. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

I think I need to rush order this shirt.

With his permission, I'm sharing Dean Treanor's response to Ed Martin's letter:

After Green interrupted last night, another Democrat should have done the same thing. And then another, until all of them had to be removed. Delay the speech by a few hours. Or walk out en masse. Anything. Calling Trump an existential threat means nothing if you can’t meet the fucking moment.

This is ugly: Trump's DOJ has effectively informed immigration judges in a new memo that they can no longer rely on rules that protect against arbitrary firing. This lays groundwork for removing them if they rule the "wrong" way too often. New piece from me: newrepublic.com/article/1923...

I don’t talk about my job much On Here™️ but I’m an immigration defense attorney. So much of this system is stacked against my clients. Now even if the facts and law are on my side, an IJ might just make a bad ruling to save their job.

Join us in solidarity—fly your American flag upside down, the traditional signal of distress and extreme emergency.

Hegseth says firing of top military lawyers was about making sure "they don't exist to be roadblocks to anything that happens."

Now that Kash Patel is apparently going to be leading the ATF, too, here's a gift link to my Rolling Stone piece last week about the damage he could do at the FBI. www.rollingstone.com/politics/pol...

El Capitan displays a massive American flag upside down—the traditional signal of distress or extreme emergency.

New from me: I have a go at the one of the Senate's biggest cowards radleybalko.substack.com/p/profiles-i...

JUST IN: Another medical horror story in an affidavit from a USAID employee stationed overseas. Says his pregnant wife was not medevac-ed for emergency health care because of directives from DC. Took intervention of a U.S. senator to reverse — but was too late. s3.documentcloud.org/documents/25...

The complete cluelessness of the people currently wrecking our federal government astounds.

FB comment from a self-described “constitutional lawyer.” I dunno. When you’re coming up with hypotheticals that involve tossing pregnant women into the air and evaluating where their vaginas land, maybe you’re just trying really hard to justify your bigotry.

Last night Canadians again booed the US anthem and they were right to do so.

We’re going to have to start giving these incidents titles. God save the Republic, God damn Republicans.

Ilya is as decent as he is smart, so he treats the Barnett-Wurman dreck with far more respect than it deserves. But this is a thorough clocking.
