The counter to this is to put low key “it’s fine” vibes out into the universe with your whole being

Agreed. It’s just one of those “it do be like that sometimes” kind of things.

He would be pretty dang good for the leafs for two games before he suddenly develops a "reputation" for the game he's been playing in Tampa for a few years now

Gosh Celebrini and Smith can thread a frickin puck. It’s wild what they can do at NHL speed already. That’s going to be more and more fun to watch for a long time.

Right like I don’t feel any dread or anything. Just “aw it do be like that some nights”. Kind of like when Marner or Matthews have an off night. Bound to happen at some point!

Eh I’d have to look it up to see if this is confirmation bias but I find that back to back teams often feel like they come out hot and then fade through the game.

Like it isn’t a “problem” unless the whole team is really suffering in goals scored. I don’t really care who’s scoring them. Their job primarily imho is to transition the puck. The team’s system isn’t about producing goals from the blueline.

Like it’s 2025, you don’t have to cosplay as Mike Babcock. Run a couple Eklund-Celebrini-Smith shifts mid game when you’re down a goal at least

Like… what chemistry are you trying to preserve with that Toffoli-Celebrini-Eklund line? Sure it looks decent but it’s weird that Warsofsky doesn’t even do mid game “spark search” changes when they’re down a goal. Maybe I’m just used to that w/ Keefe, Berube, and Brind’amour.
