Haha great minds! yes, ik I can apply for funding through my DTP, but from what I can tell I need to have already organised the institutional visit (at least in principle) – how did you do that bit???

I know PhD funder will extend my funding for an "Overseas Institutional Visit", & I believe give me some £ for travel and living costs, but a bit confused on how you actually go about organising such a thing

Haha - ngl I kept coming across your work when searching “mould” + “geography” only to be disappointed it was not *about* mould

Ooh! Am working on damp and mould in a context of estate regeneration in London housing - would be great to be added :—)

Not really my area so couldn’t say what has had the “most” impact for sure - but in the UK I imagine the introduction of the bedroom tax (reduction in housing benefit for social housing tenants with “spare” rooms) in 2012 would be up there in terms of negative impact

Idk everytime I try and crush a garlic clove it flies across the chopping board, I've resorted to nailing them down

I like how they suggest you use just the same amount of salt to season an unquantified amount of vegetables and to help crush a single clove of garlic more easily

Have since more recently joined the editorial collective at RHJ, which feels like a nice full-circle moment.
