The infamous HB1557 and its supersized cousin HB1069 harmed academic freedom and stifled LGBTQ+ expression in schools.

Both are good men and an improvement over Cruz.

I don't claim it's original. I borrow a lot from Sam Harris. Tripping without drugs.

No drugs are required. I just think independently, detached from ideologies like religion, Marxism, nationalism, consumerism, capitalism and democracy. I'm the antithesis of Slavoj Zizeck.

Self-determination has been the cause of most of the wars that have occured since it became common after the Napoleonic wars. Few westerners understand the internal politics of China. The rights of all national/ethnic groups are respected as long as they do not insist on self determination.

Self determination has a been a mixed success. I'm not convinced that states based on national identity are a good idea. The advantage of mult-national empires is they bring peace and stability for centuries rather than just decades. China, which is multi-national, has lasted for 2500 years.

The only reason that the Hamas claim on Israel is nothing but words is the strength of the IDF. If it were up to the UN, Israel would have been dissolved long ago. On this point, Netanyahu is correct.

It has been NATO, a military alliance, not the UN, that has prevented WWIII. It is the responsibility of the stronger nations to enforce the peace. Weaker nations ally themselves with stronger nations for protection. That is the system we have today and it's based on diplomacy, not rules.

Although their have been attempts to establish a rules-based system, they have failed up to this point There are two problems yet to be solved. Who makes the rules? Who enforces the rules? Both the League of Nations and the United Nations have failed to provide a workable solution.

This has been true since the first states were formed over 5000 years ago. Even the oldest states exist on land that was once occupied by other people. The Levant region where Israel now exists has changed hands at least a dozen. Ancestral claims to a piece of land are worthless. Ask the Lakota.

If Trump loses, the National Guard will be prepared to prevent another 1/6. With many of the most violent perpetrators already locked up, I doubt that there are many who are willing to take a bullet for Trump.

What nature of violence are you referring to. Another 1/6 or something more?

Trump hasn't won yet. The election is still eight months away.
