One fact about LLMs: in default configuration they 'set' a random seed. This is a number added to the input to cause variation. Each run will have a different seed. Some seeds end up producing B.S. Seeds can be fixed if the systems allow it. Techies with own LLMs can 'fix' the seed if called for.

I've got the same type of collection of LLMs that I can query but I cannot gain the same level of information and understanding that I can get from reading a book on the same topic. In reality, I do both - more or less continuously.

I haven't tried it but I certainly could. Learning to load new OS onto phones is a significant undertaking but after learning, it's like changing your socks. Thanks for the suggestions. I am always interested in privacy options.

I worry about this as an expat U.S. citizen but I haven't had to make any choices yet. I'd probably carry no or a new empty phone and reload it from a secure on-line storage (which I already have) after I have passed through the gauntlet. Always use CalyxOS or LineageOS & VPN.

So many great photos are surfacing. I can imagine the photographers, after snapping one of these - "I'll probably get more for this one than all the other 'in story' snaps I've taken today."

They influenced a lot of people - musicians and non-musicians. I still hum 'We're on the road to nowhere' from time to time.

We're not blind. We are in the cabin. The pilots are on the flight deck and are either half-blind or fully blind. Oh, and there is turbulence.

Nita is very much worth listening to. We are in the midst of a tug-or-war that is so far totally going in one direction. Nita also appeared on 'The Rip Current' podcast produced by Jacob Ward, who is also the author of 'The Loop.'

I agree, "The Vance to come will be worse than Trump in the oval."

But, at the heart of this falling out is the bill. Do we want this thing to pass or not? With or without the bill the Trump administration efforts have probably failed to have any impact on the debt problem. Perhaps it's time to just call off the honeymoon and go into wait mode.

This was also a problem in the Biden administration. Thus, it's a sign of the times. Put it on the list for changes to be done during the Forth Turning.
