This is kind of like OpenAI complaining about Deepseek. Pot, meet kettle.

Trapped? That’s an interesting way to describe being held hostage and Israel’s apartheid.

No one made a direct comparison of the events. Leave your bias at the door.

“One Grande Americano and order of Egg Bites? That’ll be $17.76.” 😂
Actually, that’s probably close.

“TikToker had no idea…” is a very universal experience right now.

This is beautiful. It reminds me of a psychologically safe space, where people can disagree and discuss without worry or judgement. Totally quoting this with my org on Monday. Thanks Adam.

When the WTC was hit on 9/11, someone I know described the horrific scene they saw on TV as a movie. It didn’t feel real until it became personal. I imagine much of the U.S. - desensitized to moral chaos through social media - is numb to what’s happening and would describe it the same way.

I’m new to @bsky.app Is the WSJ competing with the WP for most out of touch news agency? If you need better optics, I know a guy.

This graphic is interesting. It looks like there was a major problem under the Biden administration. However, wouldn’t a greater number of reported arrests and deportations signal more success with implementing border protections?

A tell for not wishing to commit to an answer, or not having full confidence in an answer, is when someone says “it can be a lot of things.” Artificial complexity opens doors to back-step through, away from responsibility or accountability. It’s a device many business leaders use to save face.

Can you provide a short list of receipts? Who are these participants? How are they becoming more optimistic? I would click your link, but it is likely behind a pay wall, and I don’t know who bank-rolled the source.

There is ample evidence that remote work is productive and even more efficient than in-office work. Remote work also improves employee wellness and company loyalty. This isn’t about the work. It’s about appeasing partner companies and industries. Less travel means less money spent on fuel, etc.

If completed, this is a step towards changing the landscape of “expertise” in the U.S. Instead of PhDs, MDs, and scientists etc. supporting our banks of knowledge, we’ll have something else. This reminds me of “alternative facts.”

The crux of this is that a god created only a “man” and “woman.” There is also the belief that the woman was created for the man. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist (or a fake one) to see where this may be going.

Ignoring that black suits are standard, I think presiding over this transfer of power must feel very undertaker-ish. That smile on Joe’s face is out of place.

So true. I know my data is also someone else’s resource, but my brain doesn’t like thinking about what that actually means. It’s good we think it through for a moment… maybe.

Haven’t we all? It’s easy for us to develop opinions where we don’t have choice (offers us a sense of control over what is not under our control).

This is a really important question. Although when it comes to tech and our data, I’m not sure “trust” was ever in the cards.
